'Sloeblack, slow, black' Wrapping Paper by Cornelia O'Donovan

From the original artwork, oil on canvas. These papers are good enough to frame. Enquire about our in-house framing service.

Cornelia is a London based graduate of the Royal College of Art, whose work is a poetic blend of technique and narrative, mixing collage, textiles and drawing. Cornelia plays with old folklore and poetry, but in a loose and dreamlike way. She draws particularly on tales native to the British Isles, and especially Celtic poetry and myth – from the tale of Prince Llewellyn’s grief at the sacrifice of his greyhound Gellert being, to the figurative ballads of Ellen O’Leary and lines from WB Yeats.

Cornelia has been exhibiting her paintings and printmaking in group and solo shows at the gallery upstairs at The Art Shop for many years.
