By accessing and using this site you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out here and you accept our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms you should not use the site and should leave immediately.

These terms are constructed in accordance with English law. In adhering to these terms you agree that the English Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute under this agreement.

Privacy Policy

We will not share your email address, postal address or telephone number with any other party. We may contact you either by email, telephone or post only as part of our customer service procedure on any issues with an order, or to answer any questions you may have.

The Art Shop will never make your personal details available to other companies for marketing purposes. Please be aware we do not store your credit or debit card details after we have processed your order. Our data collection and storage is governed by the rules of the U.K. Data Protection Act.

All imagery and content is under the strict copyright of The Art Shop Abergavenny Ltd and associated artists and designers. Moral rights asserted. We have made every effort to describe all products as accurately as possible by text, photograph and using colour charts.

However, due to factors such as differences in monitors and screen settings we are unable to guarantee accurate colour likeness. All drawings, photos and descriptions, therefore, give an approximate representation of the product.

Terms & Conditions of sale


After creating your personal account you may place an order by selecting a product and adding it to your shopping cart. All goods on this website are offered subject to availability.

On proceeding to the checkout you will be provided with an opportunity to review your order and correct any errors before confirming your purchase. You must confirm that you have read and agreed to the Terms of Sales. You will be required to follow the instructions to pay for your product. Your credit or debit card will not be charged until your order is ready for delivery.


Alternatively, if you would prefer to make a telephone purchase call +44 (0)1873 852690 and speak to one of our friendly, informed staff. We are open Tuesday to Saturday, 9.15 am – 5.00 pm.

Please have your payment details and product information ready. Once your order has been placed, we will send you an email with details of your purchase.

This does not mean that your order has been accepted by us. Once your credit or debit card or cheque has been verified, along with your address, and your product has been located, your order will be accepted and your selected goods dispatched.

*Please note: A minimum order only applies on paper or card of less than £5 in value per sheet. We require a minimum of five sheets per customer order.


Your order will be sent once your delivery address has been verified and payment has been approved (payment by cheque will take longer to clear). During exceptionally busy periods or unexpected levels of demand for some items your order may be slightly delayed. If this does occur, we shall inform you as soon as possible. If you have any queries please contact us by any means stated in the “About Us” section above.

Within the UK (excluding Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland). On all orders placed before 12pm (GMT) on a working day please allow a further one - three working days for goods to arrive. Deliveries are made within working hours and require a signature on receipt. Standard delivery costs £4.95. All orders over the value of £100.00 will be delivered free of charge.

Individual large items such as easels will be available at the standard delivery charge of £4.95, but will be delivered in four to five working days.

If the items you want to order are particularly light, please contact us and we will attempt to offer a reduced postage rate. We will process your order over the phone rather than online.

Subject to availability, we offer a collection service in which the customer may collect any ordered items from The Art Shop within our normal working hours (Tuesday – Saturday, 9.15 am – 5.00 pm).

International deliveries. We offer delivery to a wide range of international destinations. International delivery times vary depending on destinations.

We will supply you with delivery charges on request.

Payment Methods accepted

We accept Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Switch, Solo, Delta and Visa Electron.

Please make cheques payable to The Art Shop, and write your cheque guarantee card number, guaranteed amount and expiry date on the reverse of the cheque. When paying by cheque please allow ten working days for it to reach us and clear before your item is dispatched.

We do not accept The Art Shop vouchers through the online shop. Vouchers may be used here at The Art Shop, No. 8 Cross St, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, NP7 5EH. Vouchers can be exchanged for any product or art work at our gallery. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and do not have an expiry date until all credit is used. All prices quoted are inclusive of twenty per cent UK Value Added Tax (VAT).

Exchange & Returns

We offer a full refund or exchange if you are not satisfied with our goods. A returns form can be sent to you by post or email by contacting us using any means stated in the “About Us” section above.

Please send the product back with a completed returns form within 28 days of receipt in its original packaging to The Art Shop, No. 8 Cross St, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales, NP7 5EH.

Any returned product must be in a re-saleable condition and in its original packaging. Please get proof of postage when returning goods as we can only refund on receipt of the unwanted goods.

If the item(s) you return to us are not faulty you will bear the cost of returning these (such as postage). If the returned items are faulty then we will bear the cost of their return. If you require an exchange on a faulty item, then provided we have stock available, we will provide a replacement or give a full cost reimbursement.
