Caran d'Ache Supracolor Soft Artists' Colour Pencil

Established in 1924 by Arnold Schweitzer, Caran d’Ache takes its name from a leading Russian artist of the time, Emmanuel Poiré, in whose native tongue, 'Karandash', means 'a pencil'. Whether or not either knew, the true origins come from the Turkish 'Kara tash', meaning 'black stone'; the natural pigment that makes marks. Caran d'Ache Supracolor pencils are the superior quality water-soluble pencils, available in 120 colours, created for the most exacting requirements. Suitable for artists, illustrators and graphic artists, combining bright colours and excellent lightfastness; Supracolor provide exceptional covering power.
