Conte Carres Artist's Crayon Assorted Landscape Set
The Conté Carrés Assorted Landscape Set is available in boxes of 12 and 24 Artist's Crayons. The contents comprise a carefully selected 'landscape' colours from across the Conté range. Conté Carrés were developed in 1794 by Nicolas Jacques Conté from a mixture of clay and graphite, making it possible to create different grades of hardness to pencils. He worked on making colours “fixed and unchangeable” to meet the requirements of the painters of the day. Artists’ pencils and pastels were thus born.
