They provide an immediate, usable surface, avoiding the necessity to stretch the paper due to the four glued edges. Tub sized in natural gelatine using no optical brighteners Arches Aquarelle Blocks will take huge amounts of manipulation, whether scrubbing and scratching or simply laying on washes and will not yellow with age. Containing 20 sheets per block Arches Aquarelle blocks are excellent for watercolour, gouache, pen and ink, acrylics and calligraphy.
